Dr. Kathy Matthews is the Executive Director of Education at The Faison School for Autism in Richmond, Virginia. In this capacity, Dr. Matthews maintains affiliations with the Applied Behavior Analysis program at Teachers College, Columbia University, NY and the Department of Behavioral Psychology at Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, MD. She also serves as the CABAS Associate Behavior Analyst at Faison overseeing educational services, research, new program development, training, and outreach. Dr. Matthews currently holds an Adjunct teaching position at Teachers College and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Prior to The Faison School, Dr. Matthews obtained her Ph.D. in Behavior Analysis from Teachers College Columbia University where she also taught courses and mentored graduate students. While in New York, Dr. Matthews worked as an ABA Program Supervisor at The Fred S. Keller School and Shema Kolainu. She also served as a Licensed Teacher for the BOCES program in NY and as a Behavior Analyst Consultant to the CABAS® home programs and to the Jigsaw School in Surrey, England. Further, Dr. Matthews conducted numerous presentations at professional conferences and has been involved in research since 2001 on the topics of Verbal Behavior, Metaphor, Teacher Training, Peer Tutoring, and CABAS® Systems.

Ms. Kreuter joined The Faison School in November 2003. In her current role as Vice President of Operations and Finance, she oversees Accounting and Finance, Human Resources, Development, Marketing and Property Management. In addition, Ms. Kreuter serves in this role jointly with the Faison Centers of Excellence and is responsible for managing the new Compassionate Community project and coordinating the overall Faison operating structure. She serves on the Faison Foundation Board. Her prior experience includes 20 years at Schwarzschild Jewelers in a variety of upper management roles including operations, advertising and marketing, human resources and buying.

Adam Warman, M.S.

Mr. Warman earned his undergraduate degree in Special Education from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. After graduation, he continued at Clarion University to complete a Masters degree in Special Education with a concentration in Behavioral Rehabilitative Sciences. Mr. Warman has experience as a classroom teacher in Emotional Support, Autism, and inclusion settings. He has supervised a variety of programs at The Faison School. Currently he serves as the Director of Enrollment, Curriculum and Training at The Faison School for Autism in Richmond, Virginia, where he supervises the Program Supervisors for the Lower School, Upper School, Self-Management, Life Skills and Intensive Intervention Programs, works as a consultant for other schools, plans and implements staff and community training programs, coordinates staff hiring and promotion, and facilitates select off-site and in-home programming.

Dr. Choi joined The Faison School for Autism in October 2011. He is the Director of CABAS Initiatives and maintains affiliations with the Applied Behavior Analysis program at Teachers College, Columbia University, NY. Dr. Choi holds a Ph.D. in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education from Columbia University, an M.A. in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education from Columbia University and a B.A. in Special Education from Pusan National University, South Korea. He has been teaching since 2006. Dr. Choiís interests include research in Verbal Behavior Analysis Theory, Applied Behavior Analysis, Evidence-based teaching and developmental interventions.

Mr. Newcomb has served as the Assistant Director at The Faison School since 2010. He is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and holds a Masters degree in Education. Newcomb oversees the recently developed Center for Applied Behavior Analysis, which includes the After School Program, outpatient assessment, consultation, and training services. In addition, he works on current research projects as well as cultivating new initiatives alongside the Executive Director, as well as development of new programs and services. Newcomb has served on the Faison staff since 2005 in a variety of capacities, and in addition, has presented at the Association for Behavior Analysis International conference and provided a variety of training and other supportive services to greater Richmond area families, educators, and other professionals.
