The Faison School Services

Lower School
The Lower School program provides educational services in the form of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to individuals ages 22 months to 10 years using 1:1 instruction, small and large group activities, and community based instruction. We use a variety of assessments in our Lower School program to include the VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, C-PIRK, and Brigance assessments. In addition to assessments, we use ongoing data collection through the CABAS® system to track progress and to analyze student learning.

Upper School
The Upper School program provides educational services in the form of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to individuals ages 10-22 using 1:1 instruction, small and large group activities, community based instruction, pre-vocational training and opportunities for inclusion with typically developing, same-aged peers. We use a variety of assessments in our Upper School program to include the VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, Brigance assessments, and vocational inventories. In addition to assessments, we use ongoing data collection through the CABAS¨ system to track progress and to analyze student learning.

Self Management
The Self-Management Program provides educational services in the form of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to students of all ages using 1:1 instruction, small and large group activities, peer-tutoring, personalized systems of instruction, community based-instruction, and opportunities for inclusion with typically developing, same-aged peers. We use a variety of assessments in this program including Brigance assessments, C-PIRK, and ongoing data collection through the CABAS® system to track progress and to analyze student learning.

Life Skills & Employment Center
The Life Skills and Employment Center provides educational and vocational training services in the form of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to individuals 16 and older in intensive 1:1 instructional settings, small and large group activities, employment sites, recreational centers, and volunteer activities. Skills in these areas are assessed using vocational inventories, life planning meetings, Brigance assessments, and ongoing data collection using the CABAS® system.

life skills Intensive Intervention
The Intensive Intervention and Education Program provides educational services and intensive behavioral supports to students of all ages. Students in this program require ongoing behavioral supports in order to access the curriculum as independently as possible. We use a variety of assessments in this program including the VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, Brigance assessments, and pre-vocational inventories in addition to ongoing data collection procedures using the CABAS® system.

Summer Program
The Faison School offers a summer program to students who are enrolled elsewhere during the typical September to June school year. This program usually lasts for six weeks from early July until mid-August and provides educational services in the form of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to students of all ages. The program provides intensive 1:1 instruction in one of the Faison day programs, depending on the needs and age of the student.
